First Response Chaplaincy Training/CPE

If you want to be a First Response Chaplain, you need specialized training in Crisis Management and Trauma Response. We are introducing a Specialized CPE Unit for First Response Chaplaincy that will combine specialized training with the unique personal and pastoral formation of CPE.

If you complete the training without a First Response Chaplaincy Site, such as Police/Fire, Emergency Room or Emergency Response, you will be given a Certificate for First Response Chaplaincy Training. If you complete the training and a minimum 300 hours at a qualified site, you will also receive credit for one CPE Unit.

What You Will Learn:

  • Cultural Competence and Inclusion

  • Communication and Counseling Skills

  • Grief and Loss

  • Emergency, Disaster and Trauma
